As a Veteran, you bring a unique set of skills and experiences to the workplace but may face challenges when it comes to finding meaningful employment. Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties offers no-cost job-related resources and support to local Veterans, Veteran spouses, and their dependents to help you with your post-service success. We have a number of programs available to help you successfully transition from military service to the civilian workforce.
Services we provide:
– One-on-one career counseling
– Job search strategies
– Resume writing
– Interview practice
– Job placement and career advancement services
– Connections to community partners
– Computer skills training
– Trainings and certification opportunities designed to help you gain workplace skills in support of your career goals
– Access to a computer, internet, phone, and copier
– Supportive services are available upon request on a per need basis and may include assistance getting work clothes, transportation assistance, and more. We’ll help provide what you need to be successful.
Eligibility:
Eligibility varies by program and may include proof of residency, proof of Veteran status, proof of service letter or DD214, Right-to-Work documents, and no dishonorable discharge. Other eligibility requirements may apply. Contact us to learn more.
